British Princess Caroline Mathilde marries the troubled Danish King Christian VII in 1766. A dramatic marriage sam worthington is the result, with major consequences for newlyweds and the Danish people. The only person who seems to offer solace was court physician Johann Friedrich sam worthington Struensee, but his influence on the king shooting the powerful nobility in the wrong way.
~ A Royal Affair sam worthington is a film of Danish origin. Director Nikolaj Arcel has worked with Lars Mikkelsen and for this film's younger brother Mads managed to snare. Mads Mikkelsen is the star of Denmark and memorable performances in films such as Casino Royale, Jagten and Adam's Apples. A Royal Affair Mikkelsen played the role of Johann Friedrich Struensee and he again confirmed his reputation. Struensee sam worthington is skilful, intelligent and cunning, making him win the trust of Christian VII.
Big compliment to the rest of the cast is that they are not inferior to Mikkelsen. Mikkel Boe Følsgaard who plays Christian VII, has been running screaming and grunting through the palace, constantly fighting the boredom that seizes him. He visits prostitutes, get a nigger to play with, but he continues to show impetuous behavior. No country can be anything with him and he has only a ceremonial role, while he puts reluctantly signatures bills. Exciting triangle
~ Caroline Mathilde (Alicia Vikander) lies down in her fate, but is inspired by Struensees ideas and turns into a strong, influential queen. The triangular relationship between Struensee and Caroline Mathilde and Christian becomes more problematic as the influence of Struensee increases the king. To the chagrin of the nobility, who see their wealth sam worthington and power evaporate like snow in the sun, Struensee by Christian performs one after another reform.
A Royal Affair has become a beautiful historic drama. Without boring or tedious to know director sam worthington Nikolaj Arcel with minimal resources to make a compelling film. With classical music from the 18th century, beautiful scenery and ditto costumes Arcel creates a pleasant atmosphere in which the actors thrive. And if you have no idea how far it went into the Danish royal family in 1766, as I have, you know not how it ends and the movie is still exciting too.
