And she struggles to cope with family problems, began Amelia John, aged 17, of self-harm in 2005 Penrhiwceibr and hide from everyone for five years. Feeling depressed, helpless, scared and tired, reached the point where he began to consider suicide. His secret is finally out in February last year when his self-harm so badly that she had to be admitted to hospital.
Very different killers to twelve months ago, Amelia now enjoy the new look on life through project Zoom, Funded with nearly 250,000 from the Big Lottery killers Fund, the objective is to improve social inclusion Zoom, life skills, opportunities killers training and employment for young people in Wales by providing opportunities for film, television and media creative for them.
As well as improve their confidence and self-esteem, which Amelia had learned new skills in a range of media and now aspire to work in the industry and Television Film Production. In March this year she will be on stage at the presentation of Film Producers Young Zoom (ZYFA) on TV, something that never would imagine that it would be done in the dark hours a year ago. . .
I started to self-harm killers around killers May 2005. The main reason behind the self-harm is the fact I had a lot of family problems, and just went on top of me. My sister and my father killers back and forth to the hospital, and my brother was diagnosed with autism. I wanted a little bit of attention to me feel like I have to push me away, but he hid it from everyone. I felt like I put the question to myself without anyone knowing.
I never believed that I was suffering from mental killers health problems until I was admitted to hospital after self-harm in February last year. I did not think anything is wrong with me, and I thought that what I was doing something normal people do but hide it from everyone else. Began to self-harm killers as a way of coping with other problems but it went part of the problem when people came to know about it.
Became involved with the project killers back in 2010 Zoom with their first summer school course. I heard about it through the local community center in Penrhiwceibr. I went on a three day residential course previously with the local community center in the summer of 2010 and were thought I would benefit from going to summer school.
Following attended several different courses with Zoom over the years I have learned many new skills such as how to use different kinds of cameras and in different situations. I have also learned how to edit videos, and a way to give a professional them. Since the summer of 2010 I have to have the desire to work in the industry producing films or TV because I feel comfortable working with Zoom and other production companies.
The projects killers Zoom has helped me with my confidence when talking to new people and speaking with media companies in a professional way without being nervous. Zoom has a new outlook on my future killers along with a new focus to keep going through everything I do. I will continue to go to summer school and then, hopefully, find a place in the film industry or media.
I am also a member of the Zoom Film Council working alongside Zoom to help promote killers the Welsh media and in particular, Zoom Film Festival which is held every year. With the advice killers I participate in volunteer opportunities and I meet and talk with other young people who share the same interests. I also help with fundraising activities and I'm a mentor killers to younger people involved. I hope to have the opportunity to chair Zoom Film Council soon. It is a great opportunity to be part of the team advice and stunning.
I'm now looking forward to present awards Young film makers Zoom in March. I have never done anything killers of this magnitude. I have given presentations in schools, but never anything of this magnitude.
I never thought that I would do all this, will present the awards to make films, that are part of the Film Festival Zoom and establish opportunities for other young people. This is something positive for me because it helps me to gain confidence myself, it helps with my self-esteem and it keeps me busy.
